America's Battle of the Books

Our Battle of the Books Competition is starting the week of Monday, March 3-7th. We need MANY, MANY volunteers to help judge our battles. If you are interested in helping, please sign up on the attached google doc. It is a lot of fun to judge the competitions, and previous volunteers have stated how much they enjoyed it and how easy it was. Come and see how our fantastic students have been working hard to get their books read for the battles. We have been doing some practice battles in library the last few weeks, and our students are amazing!

There will be a Volunteer meeting this coming Monday, February 24th. I will hold two meetings... one at 9:30 and one at 12:30. Pick whichever time works best for you. I will teach you how to judge a battle as well as answer any questions you have. The big master schedule should be posted by then also Each battle is about 1/2 hour long. Sign up for as many battles as you can! This year we are using our specialty and extra available classrooms on Monday. This will help us get quite a few battles done that day. If you have already had a background check done at the school, please indicate on the sign up sheet so we can put you in one of our "extra" classrooms.
